Since opening its first Sydney fulfilment centre (FC) in Moorebank in 2018, Amazon has invested almost $2 billion in the region. In 2022, Amazon opened a state-of-the-art robotics fulfilment centre in Kemps Creek, followed by a logistics site in Regents Park, and a fulfilment centre in Horsley Park which opened in 2025. An additional fulfilment centre in Horsley Park is on track to open later this year.

"This land acquisition demonstrates Amazon Australia's ongoing commitment to Western Sydney and the communities we serve," said Wayne Angus, Director of Operations, Amazon Australia. "Since 2018, we have invested almost $2 billion in the region, creating thousands of local jobs and building world-class infrastructure to better serve Australian customers. Western Sydney continues to be a strategic priority for our operations, and we look forward to further contributing to the economic growth and development of this vibrant region."

Amazon Australia unveiled plans to invest more than $750M building Queensland’s first Amazon Robotics fulfilment centre in Logan, furthering its commitment to faster delivery for Queensland customers.

Amazon's continued expansion in Western Sydney has resulted in the creation of over 4,000 local jobs in the region. These roles span fulfilment operations, logistics, technology, and management, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits from day one — including subsidised health insurance for the entire family, free life insurance, up to 20 weeks parental leave pay for full-time associates and a free Amazon Prime membership. No qualifications or prior work experience are required for fulfilment centre roles, with Amazon providing all training and support needed to succeed.

Amazon has lodged a State Significant Development Application for an additional Robotics fulfilment centre to complement our existing FC located in Kemps Creek.
