Ahead of the busiest time of year for retail, Amazon Australia’s annual event is designed to help current and future sellers learn new ways to grow and expand their businesses on Amazon.com.au. Taking place online, experts from across the Amazon Australia business will lead sessions on best practice approach to listings, discovery, fulfilment, and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the day, via a live Q&A chat and ‘Ask the Expert’ forum.
With Amazon’s annual shopping event Prime Day just around the corner, bringing Prime members savings on tens of thousands of products from 12am AEDT 13 October, followed closely by the Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shopping events, the Summit aims to upskill Australian businesses ahead of their busiest time of the year.
“This year we are particularly humbled to see the interest from so many SMBs choosing Amazon as a place to start their online journey after what has been potentially the toughest year some of these businesses have ever had to endure – between bushfires and Coronavirus impacting in-person sales, we are so happy to be able to help upskill these businesses and get them online quickly,” said Amit Mahto, head of Amazon Australia’s Marketplace.
“We have been putting even more focus into online education so we can help provide guidance for businesses who are considering selling online and need some help understanding where to start. Today’s event is a good example of this and I’m really looking forward to the content we have to share with you throughout the day.”
Kicking off at 9:00am AEDT the day starts with a special welcome and live interview with Amit Mahto, Head of Marketplace, Amazon Australia and Matt Furlong Country Manager, Amazon Australia. This will be followed by a panel discussion with veteran Amazon sellers including Rowena Frith from The Salt Box, Andonis Skiatos from Zenify, Garrison Huang from Harris Technology and Amanda Adolphs from Zinus.
Rowena Firth said, “I’m excited to take part in the Seller panel and share my learnings on how to sell successfully on Amazon.com.au as a small Aussie business. I’ve invested a lot of time in learning the tricks of the trade which has really paid off for me and I am happy to share some of that knowledge with other local businesses, particularly after the difficult year we have all faced.”
