It’s the season of giving! After all the ups and downs of 2020, there’s even more reason to get together – virtually and in-person!

While the festive season is full of reasons to be joyful, it can also be a tad stressful. So this year, Amazon Australia has assembled six small business owners to form The Festive Collective to make your holidays that little bit easier. From how to pick the best holiday fashion to new ways to fancy up your festive drinks, The Festive Collective has you sorted!

We might not have a white Christmas here in Australia, but we certainly make up for it with our beach days. Andy Coley, founder of Beachbells moved half way across the world to enjoy the great outdoors we have to offer. He joined us on The Festive Collective to share some of his summer holiday workout tips.

Beachbells are the summer workout accessory you didn’t know you needed. Simply pack a Beachbell in your workout bag and pop down to your favourite coastal spot for a workout. Fill the bag with sand to make a versatile kettlebell, perfect for any style of workout.

Andy got the inspiration for Beachbells while heading down to Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach. “I was looking for a way to make the most of the outdoors, and started to head down to the beach for my workouts. I saw others dragging equipment down to the sand and thought, there has to be an easier way”

It’s easy to forget your routine once the festive season sets in, but Beachbells make it easy to turn a trip to the beach into a quick workout. “Staying active in the holidays is not always the priority, but with the custom weight system of the Beachbells it’s so easy to scale your workout depending on how you’re feeling.”

We asked Andy for his top tips on how to stay motivated these holidays.

  • Exercise with family and friends – getting the whole gang involved can definitely help with the motivation and makes working out over the holidays more fun! You could even set challenges within your family!
  • Don’t be too hard on yourself – it’s easy to feel bad when your routine slips, but don’t beat yourself up if you miss a workout or two! It is the holiday season after all and everyone deserves a break.
