We know these are challenging times as people find ways to stay busy and entertained at home. With the long weekend nearly upon us, Amazon Australia has a range of great content available to help bust the boredom – from TV and films, to books and games – with something for everyone in the family.

Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has a selection of children’s content free to watch including our Amazon Original kids and family shows and some great third party family movies and TV series licensed product. To access this free content, parents need to have an Amazon account, which is free to create, and then just log on to Amazon.com.au.

Kindle

With more time to catch up on your reading, Amazon has worked with publishers to make a selection of ebooks available for customers in Australia to download at no cost for a limited time. This includes children’s picturebooks and fiction, as well as fiction and non-fiction titles for adults. We’ve also included some school books to help with the new home schooling routines.

You can find the full selection of no cost titles available here. To access these titles and more, you just need an Amazon account, which is free to set up, and you can then download these select ebooks onto a Kindle ereader or using the free Kindle app.

Audible

Audible has already seen an incredible response to Audible Stories (stories.audible.com), a new streaming option that has hundreds of titles – most of which are suited for listening with children – available completely free of charge. There’s no log-in or membership required, and we’re hearing from customers around the world that they’re enjoying listening to old favorites, discovering new works, and sharing screen-free family listening time through Audible Stories. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone has even been added to the line up!

As always, Audible Members and those taking a 30-day trial can take advantage of our range of Audible Original Podcasts for free. If you’re looking for snackable entertainment you’ll find helpful wellbeing advice, gripping true crime, side-splitting comedy and bingeworthy doco-series.

Prioritising our health and well-being is important at all times, but especially when we’re housebound.
