Wayne Angus, Director, Amazon Australia Operations said, “We are excited to be opening our doors in Melbourne and welcoming adults and families into our Ravenhall site. These tours give Victorians a unique opportunity to see the magic that happens behind the scenes after they click ‘buy now’, and to meet some of the people who make it all happen. We hope the tours will not only provide a fun activity for the local community, but also spark curiosity in children about innovation, technology and logistics.”

The move marks a new era for Amazon’s continued commitment to Australia

Olivia Adam, Amazon Tour Leader, said: “It's great to show the local community where we work and how their parcels are prepared every day. I'm always excited to welcome our visitors – from families with young children to curious retirees and everyone in between – because no matter who walks through our doors, they're amazed by the sheer scale of the site and the way our technology and people work together to get packages out our door and to their doorstep, so quickly.”

In-person tours are free of charge and operate twice daily, four days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays, with each tour lasting 60 - 90 minutes. Tours will operate in groups of 25 pax, with kids over the age from six able to attend with an adult. Safety is a top priority and all visitors must wear flat, closed-toe and closed-heel shoes, and long hair pulled back or above shoulder height.
