Seven Starlight kids from across the country who have been appointed as Amazon's official toy testers join acclaimed Aussie artists to create heartwarming version of holiday classic using toys as instruments. The feel-good festive music video, reimagining the holiday classic ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’ in partnership with Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The track has been covered by Australian ARIA award-winning singer-songwriter and Coodjinburra artist Budjerah, and stars the Amazon Playmakers, seven Starlight children, alongside much-loved and longtime committed campaign ambassador, the late Johnny Ruffo, who is greatly missed.

This year the Playmakers were asked to put their vocal and musical talents to the test in the recording studio with Budjerah and Johnny Ruffo. The Playmakers helped add some stardust to a Christmas classic using their vocals and a selection of musical toys featured in this year's Top 100 Toys list resulting in a heartwarming music video.

To help Starlight bring happiness to sick kids through their national hospital programs including Starlight Express Rooms and Captain Starlight, for every view of the music video across Amazon Australia’s channels throughout the holiday period, Amazon Australia will donate $1 to Starlight up to $100,000.

Budjerah said, “The opportunity to work with the Playmakers is so important to me as I am a family man and can see everything Starlight does to support families and bring children happiness. This is why performing with the Amazon Playmakers was one of the best days I’ve ever had, the kids had so much fun and had huge smiles on their faces the whole time”.

Aussie entertainer and Amazon Playmaker Ambassador Johnny Ruffo said when filming the music video, “Being part of this campaign for so many years, you would think I wouldn’t be surprised by what these kids can do but they continue to surprise me with their creativity. I was particularly excited to see the kids in action in the music video as being a singer myself, it was so incredible to see the joy it brought them.”

During filming, Amazon Playmaker Anabela, 9 from NSW added “I was so excited to be a part of the music video as my dream is to be a singer, so meeting Budjerah and Johnny Ruffo was awesome and I can’t wait to tell all my friends”.

The seven Amazon Playmakers are Jonathan, 10, NSW; Zach, 5, NSW; Tyson, 9, NSW; Henry, 8, VIC; Abigail, 11, SA; Logan, 12, QLD, Anabela, 9 NSW.
