“Fast and reliable delivery across a wide selection of products remains the cornerstone of our customer offering and we are aiming to getting faster. 2024 was our fastest year yet, thanks to the launch of Same-Day delivery for Prime members in Sydney and the expansion of our next-day service to ten new locations,” said Country Manager at Amazon Australia, Janet Menzies.
“Fast delivery has benefitted customers whilst also having a broader economic impact. According to research by Mandala Partners, faster delivery times have saved Australian online shoppers 3.7 million hours in avoided shopping trips in one year alone, translating to over $350 million in value over the past decade. Australians’ expectations on delivery have changed and that is reflected in our numbers with an over 40% increase in same and next-day deliveries. Our vision is for 2025 to be even faster to meet increasing customer expectations and help members get more of what they want and need.”
